AboutAs a Facilities Associate Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Facilities Manager and Operations team with various maintenance and repair tasks. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and attention to detail. You will ensure that the facility operates smoothly and efficiently, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, functionality, and safety. This role is essential to the overall operational success of our warehouse and distribution environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Facilities Manager with light maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring timely and efficient completion of assignments.
- Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Safely operate and maintain basic hand and power tools, ensuring proper usage and care.
- Understand and implement safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Obtain certification and operate various equipment, such as scissor lifts and Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), working aloft as needed (up to 35-40 feet high).
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to internal customer trouble calls and addressing their needs promptly.
- Ensure that all maintenance tasks are performed with an eye toward the appearance of the finished product.
- Collaborate with the operations team to support operational roles as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or Operations team.
What You'll Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of general warehouse expectations for safety and teamwork.
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools, including safe and proper usage.
- Understanding of maintenance-related safety items, such as LOTO and PPE.
- Willingness and aptitude to be certified to operate operations-related PIT and maintenance equipment like scissor lifts.
- Ability to work at heights of 35-40 feet.
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Excellent internal customer service skills.
- Flexibility to assist with various operational roles as needed.
Bonus Points
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Additional certifications related to facility maintenance or equipment operation.
- Conveyance, compressor, electrical knowledge a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven track record of successfully completing maintenance projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
