We’re seeking a People Operations Manager who loves creating both scalable systems and great employee experiences to join our People team in NYC. As a People Ops Manager, you’ll manage the operational backbone of our People function, including HR processes, systems, compliance, and employee engagement, while also helping make our NYC office an energizing, connected space. You’ll partner closely with the Director of People & Talent, our LA-based People team, the VP of Finance, and cross-functional leaders to ensure that Regard’s culture and operations scale seamlessly as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities:
- Build, refine, and manage scalable People processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, compliance, HR data, and documentation)
- Maintain and optimize our HR systems (Gusto, Lever, Lattice, Carta) while ensuring data integrity across all platforms
- Proactively identify process gaps before they become pain points, designing efficient, employee-friendly solutions that enable scale
- Partner with Finance and Payroll on audits, benefits administration, headcount reporting, and compensation cycles
- Lead the NYC office experience: manage day-to-day operations, plan team events, and cultivate a welcoming, connected, and productive environment
- Support performance review cycles, engagement surveys, and People programs that strengthen culture, accountability, and growth
- Act as a trusted partner and resource for employees and managers, balancing empathy with operational excellence.
- Manage our Workplace Experience & Events Coordinator and bring culture to life through meaningful in-person and virtual moments
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR within a high-growth company (100–300+ employees)
- Proven success building or optimizing People systems, policies, and processes that scale
- Strong understanding of employment law, compliance, and benefits administration
- Proficiency with HR platforms (e.g., Gusto, Lever, Lattice, and Google Workspace)
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
- Enjoys being in the office and fostering community through people-centric experiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting both People Operations and workplace operations
- A bias toward action, curiosity, and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with compensation frameworks or leveling structures
- A data-driven mindset and comfort using reporting or analytics tools
Hybrid Work | Location | Work Authorization
- For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within the New York metro area
- Our expectation for this role is to be in the office 3-4 days per week
- We offer catered lunches and other fun perks in our Manhattan office
- Additionally, hybrid employees have the flexibility to work from locations outside of their home office from up to 6 weeks per year
