Patient Experience Product Lead
Photon Health
Location: NYC Metro Area (Williamsburg Office, 3+ days/week)
Reports to: Head of Engineering
Our Mission
Photon gives patients real ownership over their prescriptions. Our platform lets clinicians send prescriptions directly to patients via text, unlocking choice, transparency, and savings. By making prescribing patient-centered, we help people save time and money while modernizing how healthcare works.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Lead to own the patient experience across our prescription marketplace. Today, when patients receive a prescription via Photon, they access our consumer web app to compare prices, choose a pharmacy, and track their order. Already, millions of patients use Photon—and we’re just getting started.
You’ll lead initiatives that drive engagement, satisfaction, and conversion, working at the intersection of healthcare and consumer technology. This is a hands-on, execution-driven role where you’ll work closely with engineering, design, operations, and commercial teams to build experiences that scale. If you’re driven by metrics, obsessed with user funnels, and comfortable making bold trade-offs in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Define and deliver features that improve patient engagement and outcomes.
- Own complex product tradeoffs, aligning patient expectations with partner economics and the constraints of today’s healthcare incentives.
- Use data, user research, and experimentation to deeply understand patient behaviors and inform product strategy.
- Drive rapid testing and iteration to optimize patient funnels and growth.
- Partner closely with engineering and design in an embedded team to ship high-quality, delightful experiences that scale.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years as a Product Manager at a high-growth technology company, with experience owning roadmaps, defining requirements, and shipping impactful features.
- Proven success driving engagement, conversion, and retention in consumer-facing applications.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in funnel analysis and A/B testing
- Passion for high quality user experience and a user-centered approach – you've conducted user interviews and incorporated user insights into your product development process
- A strong technical foundation that demonstrates understanding of a product end to end and ability to prioritize initiatives and make tradeoffs
- Excellent cross functional stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to balance the needs of users, stakeholders and business priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in healthcare, fintech, SaaS, or other complex/high-stakes industries
- Familiarity with pharmacy, PBM, or healthcare workflows (nice-to-have, not required)
- Experience working in early- or growth-stage startup environments, with comfort navigating ambiguity and building from scratch
- Experience collaborating on marketplace products with cross-functional teams
- Comfort working directly with SQL, analytics tools, or data pipelines to self-serve insights.
Why Join Us?
- Take on a role with meaningful ownership, shaping how an early-stage company supports, grows, and learns from its customers.
- Work closely with leadership across Product, Sales, and Operations to influence the direction of the business and product.
- Help modernize how prescriptions are integrated into clinical workflows—making healthcare simpler and more human.
- Be part of one of the weirdest, funnest, most driven teams in health tech.
- Competitive salary, benefits, and meaningful equity.
