Persephone Biosciences started as a biotech company focused on gut health in cancer patients — and now we’re on a mission to transform the way we support early life health.

After years of research into the infant microbiome, we saw a clear need: today’s babies are missing critical gut bacteria that once helped them thrive. In response, we’re launching a modern synbiotic for infants and toddlers — built to meet the needs of today’s families and lay the foundation for lifelong health.

Our first direct-to-consumer product launches this fall. It’s a new chapter — and we’re building a brand, a community, and a movement to match.

🧠 The Role: Influencer & Community Engagement Manager

We're looking for a strategic, curious, and creator-savvy marketer to own our influencer relationships and community engagement. You’ll bring Persephone’s voice to life across social platforms, build a vibrant ecosystem of advocates, and be at the forefront of how we educate, empower, and inspire our audience of modern parents.

This is not a passive coordinator role. You'll lead campaigns, test creative influencer models (organic, affiliate, paid), and shape what community-led growth looks like at a health-first startup.

What You'll Do

🎯 Influencer Strategy & Activation

  • Design and manage influencer campaigns that generate real buzz, trust, and user-generated content
  • Identify, vet, and build authentic relationships with creators — from healthcare TikTokers to wellness moms and niche micro-influencers
  • Build out scalable partnership models (paid, affiliate, gifting) that balance brand love and performance
  • Co-develop influencer storytelling and content that aligns with our mission and science-backed brand voice

🌱 Community Growth & Engagement

  • Foster two-way relationships with our community — on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and new platforms
  • Lead our social listening and engagement strategy: know what people are saying, join relevant convos, and build loyalty through everyday interactions
  • Launch community experiments (DM campaigns, giveaways, surprise & delight, AMA sessions) that bring value to our earliest supporters
  • Collaborate with HCPs and brand advocates to amplify education, credibility, and community stories

📊 Analytics & Optimization

  • Track influencer performance, engagement metrics, sentiment, and UGC to inform ongoing strategy
  • Test and refine new formats, partnership models, and platform strategies
  • Stay sharp on platform changes, creator trends, and cultural shifts — and bring new ideas to the table regularly

😀 Who You Are

  • 3–5+ years experience in influencer marketing, social strategy, or community-building roles (in-house preferred)
  • Deep familiarity with influencer ecosystems — from micro to macro, gifted to paid to affiliate
  • A strong communicator and natural relationship-builder who knows how to make creators feel seen and supported
  • Equally at home brainstorming with creatives, DMing creators, tracking UTM codes, and interpreting performance data
  • Passionate about health, wellness, and early life innovation — even better if you’ve built audiences in these spaces
  • Self-starter with a test-and-learn mindset — you don’t wait for permission to try something new

💡 Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in startups or early-stage consumer brands
  • Background in health, wellness, pediatrics, or science-backed products
  • Strong content instincts and familiarity with creation tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe, etc.)
