Parachute Home - VP, Sourcing

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Sourcing to lead our global sourcing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, vendor management, and sustainable material sourcing, as well as a passion for identifying opportunities that balance cost, quality, and market trends. This role will be instrumental in driving innovation within our product assortment, ensuring Parachute is ahead of any potential market disruptions, and ensuring Parachute continues to be the market leader.

Reports to: VP, Supply Chain

Location: LA Based. Hybrid/in-office requirement of at least 2x/week (Culver City, CA)

What You’ll Do:

• Sourcing Strategy: Establish sourcing strategies to de-risk the vendor base by diversifying production across multiple regions, mitigating geopolitical, environmental, and market risks.
• Vendor Diversification: Onboard new vendors that produce premium textile products within new markets.
• New Product Development: Partner with design and merchandising to turn concepts into manufacturable products, ensuring quality, cost, and time-to-market goals are met.
• Vendor Management: Build strong symbiotic relationships with the current vendor base to build trust and cultivate a partnership focused on mutual operational excellence.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Lead sustainability initiatives by sourcing eco-friendly materials and driving the use of innovative, sustainable materials in product design.
• Cost & Quality Optimization: Optimize cost and quality through regular cost-benefit analyses, vendor negotiations, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain margins and mitigate supply disruptions.
• Leadership & Team Development: Provide strategic leadership to the sourcing team, mentoring and developing talent to foster a high-performance culture aligned with company values.

Who You Are:

• 15+ years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles, with a strong focus on consumer products, preferably in the bedding and bath sector.
• Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and global supply chain risk mitigation.
• Strong understanding of sustainable sourcing practices and materials.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with design and product development teams.
• Ability to analyze market trends and foresee potential supply chain disruptions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a high-performing team.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.

Parachute takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

The estimated pay range for this role is $210K - $230K annually.
