At Parachute we are growing our trade business and seeking an enthusiastic, full-time Trade Specialist to build our design community.
Our trade business sells Parachute products to our qualified members that are industry experts within the interior design space. Once they sign up and become a trade member, they receive an exclusive discount for all purchases along with other great program perks to help complete their interior design projects and exceed their client’s expectations.
As a Trade Specialist you will have the opportunity to work with trade customers, drive incremental sales and generate new business for Parachute Trade. As a Trade Specialist you will provide an exceptional customer experience for our design community and help them source Parachute products for their upcoming projects. The Trade Specialists role is primarily remote while also leveraging Parachute stores for design appointments as necessary.
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position plus quarterly bonus potential!
What You’ll Do:
Pitch Parachute Trade to prospective customers and drive new business
Generate incremental revenue by developing meaningful relationships with existing trade customers that includes interior designers, architects, purchasing/procurement agents, home stagers, property managers and stylists
Meet and exceed quarterly sales goals by maintaining consistent appointment schedule with assigned designers and clients that includes meetings, calls and pitches/presentations
Manage all accounts and sales activities within CRM Hubspot
Provide dedicated support to Parachute Trade and Hospitality customers by helping them purchase product for upcoming projects
Maintain a strong knowledge of Parachute’s product assortment (both retail and Hospitality line) to assist with any product-related inquiries
Manage inbound product and program inquiries from both prospective and existing trade members and provide dedicated client support for trade and hospitality business
Cultivate new clients and business by staying in know within the design community
Work with Trade, Hospitality, Retail and CX teams to provide client feedback and progress
Attend/travel to trade shows and industry events as needed
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, customer support, showroom, or account management within the interior design, hospitality, furniture or home space
2-3 year(s) of showroom sales experience or working with an interior designer
Proven track record of success with a rolodex of relevant contacts
Understanding of ecommerce platforms (specifically Shopify, Netsuite and Hubspot) and quick to learn operational processes
Basic Excel experience required
Outstanding communication skills (in-person, email and phone)
Excellent sales, problem solving and organizational abilities
Self-motivated, detailed, adaptable and positive
Familiar with brand and brand aesthetic
Passion for design and the home space
Based near Parachute store preferred
Personal transportation for required travel
