We buy great brands built on Shopify, unlocking liquidity for small business entrepreneurs looking to start new adventures. We manage nearly 50 brands with over 100,000 products across apparel, beauty, home goods, and electronics.
Our team of e-commerce experts and engineers uses our proprietary technology and tooling, and advantages from our size, to grow our brands at scale.
Two million people have purchased OpenStore products, and soon, we’ll launch a consumer shopping app, helping people discover products in an all-new way. OpenStore was started in 2021 by top investor and operator, Keith Rabois, a former executive at PayPal, LinkedIn, and Square, and a co-founder of Opendoor. We are backed with $150M+ from world-class investors such as Atomic, Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, and Lux Capital.
At OpenStore, we have the unique challenge of operating nearly 50 individual Storefronts under one portfolio. Our mission in this area of the business is to deliver reliable and standardized storefronts for OpenStore's brands that convert as well, if not better than the top brands in their respective categories. We do this by:
Developing and deploying storefronts that meet or exceed performance benchmarks
Driving short-term impact and long-term learning via rigorous experimentation
Mitigating risks to deliver a reliable operating platform for customers & OpenStore's marketing teams
In order to do this effectively, it’s crucial to have visibility into the performance of these stores on a daily basis and the ability to identify issues when they arise as well as opportunities to drive impact through optimizations that can be applied across the portfolio. We’re looking for a Business Operations Analyst on the Storefronts team who can be our “eyes and ears” and use statistical/analytical techniques to translate data into business recommendations. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Help gather, inspect, and draw meaningful conclusions from the data around our Storefronts on a daily / weekly / monthly basis in order to support informed decision making within that area of the business
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, benchmarks and metrics to track key performance indicators related to Storefront performance
Audit and assess the full funnel customer journey to identify opportunities for optimization and hypotheses for experimentation
Work cross functionally with Marketing, Merchandising and Supply Chain to own and maintain initiatives that drive data driven optimizations
WHO YOU ARE:
You thrive in fast-paced environments. At this stage we’re still learning. You will iterate with engineers, analysts and product managers to focus on high impact work.
You are analytically rigorous. You have a deep bias towards using data and analyses to drive decisions. Your second language is performance KPIs and you know your numbers and the inputs needed to continue improving those KPI metrics.
You take ownership. You are comfortable driving projects end-to-end that execute and eliminate blockers, helping you and the company move fast with confidence. You know when to raise your hand and ask for help.
You can work through ambiguity. Your experience will enable you to focus on the elements that matter most and drive clear insights that inform the team’s priorities.
WHAT YOU HAVE:
2+ years e-commerce experience, Shopify preferred
Strong Excel expertise including using shortcuts and formula functions, building charts and graphs, sorting and filtering large data sets, utilizing pivot tables, etc.
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
Solid knowledge of SQL and Mode
