ROLE
In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the consistent production quality of Open’s on-demand mindfulness classes and operations. As the go-to leader behind Open content operations, you will be instrumental in the entire production process of audio and video shoots. Your responsibilities will include pre-production planning, talent and team schedules, coordinating recording sessions and shoots, media management, assistant producing, post production coordination, and content merchandising. This role requires a creative thinker with strong organizational skills, proactive problem solver, and a deep understanding of multimedia content production and management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Pre-Production and Planning: Coordinate weekly productions of on-demand audio and video content, including managing schedules of talent and team. Develop, track, and manage production timelines.
  • Production Execution: Ensure excellent quality audio, video, lighting, and platform experience—be the owner, leader, and troubleshooter of anything that potentially jeopardizes a perfect consumer experience.
  • Post-Production Coordination: Delegate and track editing priorities to a team of audio engineers.
  • Content Management: Oversee our Content Management System (CMS). Merchandise content in app and ensure the best experience for consumers. Digital media management and organization across physical and cloud based media servers. Manage our internal music database, composer agreements, and label reporting. Make recommendations for new content based on consumer data analysis.
  • Creative Development and Management: Script organization and assist in the development of scripts.
  • Facility management: Oversee the production studio/office operations. Transport gear to and from production studio during shoots.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 1-2 years of a diverse range of on-set production and A/V experience, including some or all of: producing, production coordinating, audio engineer, camera operator, grip, and PA roles
  • Full-cycle production management experience
  • Knowledge of Airtable, Asana, Air (or equivalent project management and media storage software)
  • Experience editing in Davinci Resolve and/or Protools preferred (not required)
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot
  • Proactive, willing to initiate tasks and perform duties without direction
  • You take ownership of your work and seek opportunities for streamlining and establishing efficient processes
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine interest in mindfulness, meditation, and well-being, with the ability to convey this passion through multimedia content
  • Passionate about humanities, wellness, culture, and music
  • You are humble and able to work collaboratively with a diverse team of creators
  • Friendly and embodying a positive attitude
  • Must have a car and be located in Los Angeles
  • In office 3 days a week minimum
