About Us

Nourish is on a mission to improve people’s health by making it easy to eat well. Nutrition-related chronic disease is the largest and most overlooked crisis in the world. Food can be medicine: working with a Registered Dietitian is one of the most effective interventions available, but <1% of eligible Americans use their covered benefits.
Nourish is building an AI-native, patient-friendly healthcare system centered on nutrition that improves outcomes, lowers costs, and helps people live healthier, longer lives. We launched three years ago, are live in all 50 states, and already have thousands of dietitians and hundreds of thousands of patients on the platform.
We are growing quickly, have partnered with national health insurance companies and provider groups, and have raised $115M from top-tier VCs including JP Morgan Growth Equity, Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, Y Combinator, Maverick Ventures, Box Group, Atomico, G Squared, and Pinegrove Venture Partners. Our angel investors include world-class healthcare founders from Oscar, Rightway Health, Headway, Spring Health, and Alto Pharmacy, as well as soccer star Alex Morgan and the founders from Olipop and Notion.

About the Role

As Head of Provider Acquisition, you will own one of the most critical growth functions at Nourish: the team and systems responsible for scaling our provider supply. You’ll lead our provider acquisition organization end-to-end, which includes outbound/inbound selling and conversion, and all revenue strategy and operations. You’ll get the chance to concurrently build and run a high-volume, sales-driven acquisition motion and the associated strategy & ops enablement arm.

As the leader of the Provider Acquisition team, you’ll be responsible for setting the organization’s vision/roadmap, determining health metrics/KPIs, driving the team to high performance, and ensuring ops excellency as we grow. We view Provider Acquisition as a critical and innovative function at Nourish (after all, dietitians are the core of our product), and you will have full ownership over leading the organization to achieve great outcomes.

This person will report into our VP of Operations and work closely with the rest of the Provider Growth & Operations teams as well as with stakeholders & functional leads across the organization. You’ll work closely with the founders, executive team, and cross-functional leaders to shape acquisition strategy and drive outcomes that directly determine the company’s ability to grow.

This role is full-time and open to NYC-based candidates only (expectation to work in-person 2-3 days per week, with some remote flexibility). Our office is located in Flatiron.

Occasional travel expected to conferences, events, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own Provider Acquisition operations end-to-end — set the org strategy/vision and lead the team to execute against it, driving success on top-line metrics critical to Nourish’s growth
  • Scale the Provider Acquisition org efficiently, including designing the org structure, leading hiring, making critical product decisions, and generally future-proofing the organization. Be an excellent people manager, including implementing systems for performance assessment, development, and management, and motivating the team to achieve great outcomes
  • Build the systems necessary to effectively convert providers, including managing a Strategy & Ops/RevOps sub-function that develops the tools, playbooks, and systems to drive best-in-class performance
  • Design & articulate the value prop of working at Nourish, and partner closely with our Provider Marketing & Strategy teams to build our employer brand and establish Nourish as the default nutrition therapy thought-leader

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have 6–10 years of experience, with a mix of strategy work (e.g., management consulting, finance, business operations) and direct start-up experience
  • You are a first-principles thinker. You enjoy revamping processes/tech and identifying areas for improvement. You don’t take something for given just because it’s been done that way historically — you identify the best way to do it now and move to actualize it.
  • You’ve led teams before and are excellent at people management & driving teams to high performance. You’re results-driven and metrics-oriented, and not afraid of ambitious targets.
  • You have a sales-mindset and understand what drives success in an aquisition function. You’re a strong communicator and storyteller, and adept at setting and then selling a value prop/vision
  • You are operationally excellent, able to manage a robust hiring/onboarding funnel and large volume of moving pieces seamlessly, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • You’re extremely comfortable working cross-functionally, driving success across functions ranging from growth to operations, finance, engineering, data, and more.
