About Us

Nourish is on a mission to improve people’s health by making it easy to eat well. More than half of Americans have a chronic condition related to what they eat, and poor nutrition is the number one driver of preventable death.
Nourish is addressing this healthcare crisis by helping people eat better. We connect chronic disease patients with a Registered Dietitian via telehealth and get it covered by their health insurance.
We launched two years ago and already have hundreds of dietitians and tens of thousands of patients on the platform. Our patients span a wide range of nutrition-related conditions including diabetes, eating disorders, kidney disease, GI conditions, cancer, obesity / weight management, cardiovascular disease, and more. We are live in all 50 states.
We are growing quickly, have partnered with national health insurance companies and provider groups, and have raised over $44M from top-tier VCs including Index Ventures, Thrive Capital, Y Combinator, and Box Group, amongst others. About the Role

As our founding Sales Director at Nourish, you will play a pivotal role in driving our mission to improve health outcomes through better nutrition. Working closely with our Cofounder & COO and our Head of Partnerships, you will lead and develop a high-performing IC team of Provider Partnerships Managers (PPMs) while actively contributing to team and company goals as an individual contributor.

This role combines strategic planning, team leadership, personal sales, and client engagement, with a strong focus on fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

This is a full-time hybrid role out of Nourish’s NYC office in the heart of Silicon Alley.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire your team of PPMs to achieve & exceed targets
    • Conduct regular team meetings
    • Conduct 1:1 meetings with team members
    • Conduct “ride-alongs” with PPMs (both virtual and in-person)
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that aligns with Nourish’s values

  • Strategic Planning and Channel Strategy: Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to…
    • Set OKRs and strategic goals that align with overall business objectives
    • Develop and implement performance management processes
    • Build out Sales Playbook and associated training materials
    • Develop data-driven prospecting strategies
    • Surface market trends and insights from PPMs to inform strategic decisions
  • Data & Analytics: Leverage Salesforce reporting to inform process improvements
    • Create Salesforce reports to regularly analyze individual PPM and PPM channel performance
    • Leverage Salesforce reports to proactively identify strengths and areas for development across individual PPMs and the broader team

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • You have a proven track record in healthcare-provider-facing sales/business development
  • You have at least 4 years of experience in a sales management role, preferably at a high-growth startup
  • You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • You have experience in goal/quota/OKR setting and performance management
  • You have strong organizational and process management skills
  • You know how to leverage data and data tooling (specifically Salesforce) to inform your strategy
  • You have aptitude for learning new systems
