Job Summary

MycoWorks is seeking a proactive and analytical Strategy & Operations Lead to support our mission of delivering Fine Mycelium™ products at scale. Reporting to the Chief of Staff to the CEO, this position will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across the company, with a focus on managing key internal initiatives and operational data insights. This role will ensure MycoWorks’ internal priorities remain on track and aligned with our strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

Project Management of Customer-Focused Initiatives:

  • Lead and oversee high-priority projects that impact customer success and satisfaction.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales, to deliver on commitments.
  • Monitor project milestones, identify risks, and implement solutions to ensure successful outcomes.

Management of Internal Operational Projects:

  • Act as a "fixer" for operational projects that require alignment and support to meet timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address roadblocks, implement best practices, and execute process improvements.
  • Proactively identify risks, escalate issues as needed, and ensure clear communication among stakeholders.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Dive deep into operational and supply chain data to track trends, identify insights, and measure progress toward company objectives.
  • Develop high-quality dashboards using Power BI (or similar tools) to provide real-time visibility into key metrics.
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership to support data-driven decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure alignment on priorities and seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the Chief of Staff to the CEO and teams across multiple departments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or consulting roles, ideally within technical or manufacturing-focused industries.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects in high-growth environments.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, or technical product development is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience turning raw data into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of operational and supply chain metrics is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Creative problem-solver who combines strategic thinking with tactical execution.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for innovation and sustainability, aligned with MycoWorks’ mission and values.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The targeted base pay for this role is $135,000 - $150,000. The actual pay is dependent on other factors such as training, skills, work experience and business needs. The target pay range is subject to change and may be modified. This role is also eligible for benefits and equity.
