Job Summary:
Mycoworks is growing exponentially, and the Mycoworks Finance team is expanding to strengthen its accounts payable and expense processing capabilities. This includes enhancing and optimizing the company’s use of Concur Expense,DooAp Invoicing, D365 F&O, as well as our Wells Fargo corporate credit card program. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in the Finance team, with opportunities for growth in the future to other roles in accounting and finance.
This is an onsite role in our Emeryville, CA office, with the possibility of some hybrid flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Perform day to day full cycle accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing
- Receive, code, and enter a high volume of invoices and expenses from vendors, employees, and contractors
- Obtain appropriate verifications and approvals for invoices before posting.
- Process and follow up on urgent payment requests
- Perform monthly vendor reconciliations
- Provide timely responses to internal and external payment inquiries and issues
- Provide reports and data for proper accounting of month-end accruals
- Research and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
- Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved
- Maintain effective, timely, and professional communication with internal stakeholders and vendors
- Audit and process travel expenses, ensuring adherence to the Mycoworks Travel Policy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3+ Years of Accounts Payable experience, including multi-entity processing
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Concur Expense and D365 F&O is highly desirable
- Proficient with high volume of transactions
- Proven ability to work independently with business partners, vendors, and contractors
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and assertively while maintaining professionalism.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work across multiple departments.
- Proactive and able to work independently while maintaining accountability.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The targeted base pay for this role is $36/hr-$40/hr. The actual pay is dependent on other factors such as training, skills, work experience and business needs. The target pay range is subject to change and may be modified. This role is also eligible for benefits and equity.
