About the Role

This is not a traditional SDR role. This is a founding commercial role for someone who wants more ownership, more responsibility, and more exposure than a typical SDR position provides.

This role is different.

You'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team as part of building and scaling Marble's go-to-market motion.

We already have strong foundations in place — including active pipeline sources, conference strategy, outbound infrastructure, and early customer traction. Your role will be to execute aggressively, test what works in-market, provide feedback from prospects and customers, and help us continuously improve the playbook.

This is a highly collaborative role where speed of learning matters. We value people who are curious, observant, adaptable, and excited to help refine a fast-growing GTM motion through real customer conversations.

You'll also be joining Marble at a unique moment. AI is rapidly reshaping the accounting industry, and tax firms are actively looking for solutions that help them work faster, more efficiently, and more strategically.And importantly: our customers actually answer their phones. Tax professionals still operate in a relationship-driven industry. Phone conversations work here. Conferences work here. Fast follow-up works here. That creates a huge opportunity for someone who is great at building trust quickly and moving fast.

What You'll Do

This is a highly hands-on role combining outbound prospecting, conference selling, demos, closing, and GTM experimentation.

• Attend conferences across the U.S.

• Work booths and actively pull prospects into conversations

• Demo Marble live to tax professionals and firm leaders

• Run outbound phone and email sequences

• Prospect and manage your own pipeline

• Conduct discovery and close deals in 1–2 conversations

• Help refine messaging and positioning based on real market feedback

• Work closely with leadership on what's resonating and what isn't

• Experiment constantly and adapt quickly

This is a high-ownership role for someone excited by ambiguity, speed, and building.

You do not need:

• Enterprise AE experience

• Perfectly polished background, or years managing large accounts.

You'll have direct visibility into how an early-stage company grows from early traction into a scalable revenue engine.

Practical Details

• Travel: Frequent conference travel required

• Sales Motion: Fast-cycle, high-activity, phone-heavy

• Reporting To: CEO to start

Compensation: Target compensation is approximately $150,000 OTE ($100k base + $50k variable). Commission for the first two quarters is guaranteed while you ramp.
