Who we are
Hallow is on a mission to help people pray. We’re the No. 1 prayer app in the world, with more than 1 billion prayers prayed across 150+ countries. We're building a product that is authentically Christian and Catholic, while at the same time a resource for anyone looking to grow deeper in a relationship with God. We believe that people are hungry for peace, and that there is no surer way to find it than by learning to sit in silence with Christ: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28).
Our goal is to build something truly great. Something that combines the beauty of the Church's spirituality with world-class product and content execution. And we need a world-class team to make it happen.
We launched the app in December 2018 and have been blown away with the incredible growth & traction. Hallow has been downloaded more than 25 million times with over 250,000 5-star reviews. We're blessed to be backed by some of the best mission-driven investors in the world and are excited to build out the team to help a lot more folks grow closer to God.
We are a startup. We move quickly. We are small but we take big swings. Each person is responsible for making an impact. It is hard—but deeply meaningful—work. We'd be honored & humbled if you'd consider joining us.
TL;DR: You’ll shape the early experience for every new hire and help lay the foundation for scalable people operations, especially in B2B/Sales where our team is growing the fastest. You’ll help us move faster, onboard more effectively, and keep things human as we scale.
What You'll Do
- Support the Whole Team: While this role will spend most of its time with the B2B / Sales team as a specialized business partner, you’ll support the hiring, onboarding, and development of the whole Hallow team as we grow.
- Talent Acquisition: You’ll support resume review, candidate screening, and coordination across all hiring teams. You’ll also lead full-cycle recruiting for B2B SDR, AE, and Success (Parish & School) roles, including sourcing, screening, coordination, and candidate experience.
- Company-Wide Onboarding: You’ll drive consistency and engagement in company-wide onboarding, including welcome content, cross-functional introductions, and scheduling. You’ll also be in charge of coordinating and improving processes, documentation and workflows in tools like Rippling and Notion.
- B2B Team Training: You’ll own onboarding for B2B hires, ensuring delivery of role-specific content, systems access, and team integration plans. You’ll also design and lead the Sales onboarding program, including training on cold calling, multi-channel outreach, and down-funnel execution, while implementing a tiered assessment framework (e.g., 101, 201, 301) to support skill development and progression for both new hires and existing team members.
- Company-Wide Learning & Development: You’ll launch and help coordinate lightweight company-wide L&D initiatives like onboarding guides, team showcases, and lunch & learns
- Sales-Specific Team Development: You’ll partner with Sales leadership to identify key skill gaps and prioritize development areas and pathways (e.g. SDR to AE) for all team members. You’ll launch continuous learning programs for all B2B/sales team members (e.g., monthly workshops, sales certifications, coaching programs), and will coordinate intern and early-career programs in the B2B org
- Develop and Own KPIs: You’ll develop and track onboarding and learning effectiveness via KPIs, including ramp time, assessment scores, career progression, and training participation/feedback
What You’ll Love
- Mission: This work is incredibly humbling. Every day we hear amazing stories and we get the pleasure of working on something that’s impacting lives. One of our favorite user quotes: “I hate quoting an old, overused cliché, but I’ve been very lost. And I think for the first time in a while I may be found.”
- Ownership: When a company is this small, every employee is a core team member with an outsized impact. You’ll be the face of our onboarding and early development programs, especially for the teams that are growing fastest.
- Growth: From day 1, you’ll be a part of the startup journey. We’re growing quickly, and we’ll need your help to build scalable people programs and create an employee experience that reflects our mission and values.
- Flexibility: We operate as a remote-first team with members all over the globe and are open to candidates anywhere in the U.S. for this position. We don’t care when or where you work, just that it gets done! That being said, our HQ is in Chicago and if in-person work is something you are interested in, we’d love to have you there!
- Comp: We pay competitive market rates in terms of equity, cash, & benefits.
What We’re Looking For
- Passion: First & foremost, we’re looking for someone excited about our mission. It makes it a lot more fun :) The ideal candidate will be someone who’s thrilled to play a key role in helping us build out a uniquely Catholic company culture
- Operational excellence: Strong operational skills - organized, process-driven, and enjoy improving how work gets done. Ability to manage projects independently and work cross-functionally
- Learning and development focus: Interest in building great employee experiences and helping others grow in their roles. Experience creating content and delivering training to support employee onboarding and/or development (including through an LMS), especially in a fast-paced and/or scaling startup environment, would be a plus
- Growth mindset: Curious, eager to learn, and always looking for ways to improve. You enjoy picking up new tools and ideas, and love teaching what you’ve learned to others.
- Communication skills: Clear and thoughtful communicator, both live and in writing. Comfortable interviewing candidates, coordinating across teams, and documenting processes in tools like Notion, Google Docs, and Slack.
- Tools and systems fluency: Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn applicant tracking systems and/or recruiting CRMs (any ATS, bonus points for experience with Gem) and project management tools like Notion, ClickUp or Monday
- Experience: 1-3 years of past experience in a Sales, Customer Success, Operations, or People role where you were involved in onboarding, hiring, and/or internal development. Past experience running early career and/or internship programs is a plus
We're a small team and we care deeply about each new hire, so sometimes it can take us a while to get through the hiring process for these roles. Apologies in advance for any delays. We'll do our best to keep you updated throughout the process, and we really appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through everything.
We are honored that you'd consider joining the team and look forward to connecting with you.
Best,
Alex at Hallow
CEO & Co-Founder
