Description
General Legal is seeking a senior attorney with significant commercial contracts experience to review, mark up, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements. Attorney will be responsible for exercising independent legal judgment, refining markups, and ensuring accuracy, risk alignment, and deal intent of contract mark-ups while working hand in hand with cutting edge AI tools. Attorney should be enthusiastic about leveraging AI to efficiently generate high quality legal work product.
Responsibilities
- Review and mark up commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, POs, Sales/Distribution Agreements, SaaS Agreements and More
- Apply consistent legal judgment, and client context (playbooks, past dealings, matter specific guidance, etc) to AI-assisted first drafts of contracts and mark ups and identify gaps, risks, and negotiation opportunities
- Collaborate with founders on how to best integrate AI into attorney work flow
- Design AI-first workflows to streamline attorney process
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience drafting and marking up broad range commercial contracts
- Specific, hands-on experience with a wide range of MSAs across markets and industries
- Detail-oriented; can maintain intense focus over sustained review sessions
- Strong written judgment and comfort working in a technology-forward legal environment
- Admitted to Bar to at least one US state
- Eligible to work in US

Salary
$200,000 - $240,000 per year
