Our Delivery team is expanding due to rapid customer growth and increased demand for procurement transformation. This team is responsible for client onboarding, ongoing support, and testing new product features to drive adoption and ensure successful deployments. Project Manager (Functional Lead) Focal Point is seeking a Project Manager (Functional Lead) to join the Delivery team. This role will play a critical part in designing, configuring, and implementing procurement technology solutions by working directly with clients to gather business requirements, lead system design, oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), and support go-live communications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Source-to-Pay (S2P) software implementations (Ariba, Coupa, or similar), a deep understanding of procurement processes, and the ability to translate business needs into system functionality. This role requires an individual who can work independently and with project teams, ensuring that client implementations follow best practices and are delivered on time.

The Objectives of the Role Include:

• Act as the Functional Lead in Source-to-Pay (S2P) software implementations, ensuring the system meets business needs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to capture, document, and analyze business requirements for procurement system configurations.
• Translate business needs into system design and functionality, ensuring alignment with procurement best practices.
• Lead configuration efforts for procurement systems, working with technical teams to design optimal workflows.
• Oversee UAT planning and execution, guiding clients through test scenarios, tracking defects, and ensuring proper resolution before deployment.
• Support go-live activities and change management efforts by coordinating communications, user training, and issue resolution.
• Define project scope, schedules, and resource allocations, ensuring projects stay on track.
• Analyze project status, adjusting scope, schedule, or budget when necessary to meet client requirements.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders, providing day-to-day project updates and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Develop and execute strategic project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices across projects.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

• Strong expertise in procurement software (Ariba, Coupa, or other Source-to-Pay platforms) and business process transformation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into system configuration with a focus on usability and scalability.
• Initiative-taker – comfortable working independently as well as within teams.
• Experience managing UAT, test execution, and defect tracking.
• Structured project management process and best practices with experience in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, capable of leading client workshops.
• Ability to multitask across simultaneous projects, prioritize effectively, and manage expectations.
• Analytical mindset with a logical thought process, ensuring business requirements align with system capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage stressful situations with tact, respect, and patience.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, contract management, procurement operations, and accounts payable.

Preferred Experience:

• Four or more years of functional lead or project management experience.
• Experience leading procurement system implementations (Ariba, Coupa, SAP Fieldglass, etc.).
• Deep understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.
• Experience configuring workflow automation, catalogs, contract lifecycle management, or supplier management modules.
• Strong attention to deadlines, scope control, and budgetary guidelines.
• Experience conducting system demos, training sessions, and change management initiatives.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (preferred).
• Experience working with global enterprise clients and handling multiple stakeholder groups.
