The Opportunity

As a Senior Air Operations Associate, you’ll handle complex airfreight cases while guiding a small team to deliver consistent, high-quality execution. This role is ideal for experienced operators ready to step into leadership — solving problems, coaching teammates, and driving process improvements to build the next generation of operations leaders in Vietnam.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll keep our airfreight operations running smoothly while leading a small team to deliver great results. You’ll solve problems, guide teammates, and make sure shipments move on time with accuracy and care.

  • Coordinate and implement airfreight operations aligned with company strategy, global policies, and customer requirements.
  • Act as the first escalation point for all shipments exceptions
  • Coach and mentor team members to ensure SOP compliance, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high data accuracy and milestone updates in Flexport systems to meet KPIs and SLAs.
  • Support new projects such as carrier integrations, client onboarding, and system/process upgrades.
  • Monitor and review vendor performance, providing feedback and solutions to improve service quality.
  • Oversee billing accuracy and cost control, resolving invoice disputes promptly.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and external service providers.
  • Supervise a small team of associates and collaborate closely with other departments.
  • Step in as acting squad lead when required, preparing for future leadership roles.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
  • Strong understanding of air freight processes and import/export handling.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese; comfortable communicating in English (written & spoken).
  • Experience coaching or mentoring junior teammates.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple shipments under pressure.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Gain

  • Opportunity to lead a small squad and grow your leadership skills.
  • Hands-on experience in Vietnam’s air freight operations with Flexport’s global network.
  • Clear career path to Team Leader or Manager roles as Flexport Vietnam scales.
  • Exposure to global systems, tools, and best practices in logistics.
