The opportunity:
The Customs Business Operations team is seeking a business operations associate to lead and manage strategic initiatives that support the growth and optimization of Flexport's Customs Operations and Trade Services. In this role, you’ll take ownership of cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment, execution, and timely delivery to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

You will:
- Analyze and identify opportunities to streamline business processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and drive growth.
- Work closely with departments such as Operations, Sales, Data Analytics, and Finance to align operational goals with business objectives.
- Lead and manage key business projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and goals are met.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret business data to generate actionable insights.
- Support organizational change initiatives and ensure smooth implementation of new processes, systems, or tools.
You should have:
- 2-4 years of experience in project management, operations, or a related field, ideally within technical, supply chain, or business environments
- Experience working on cross-functional projects and collaborating with different teams (e.g., engineering, operations, or product)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work with diverse teams
- Self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity; willing to take ownership and get things done
- A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
