The opportunity:

The Customs Business Operations team is seeking a business operations associate to lead and manage strategic initiatives that support the growth and optimization of Flexport's Customs Operations and Trade Services. In this role, you’ll take ownership of cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment, execution, and timely delivery to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

You will:

  • Analyze and identify opportunities to streamline business processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and drive growth.
  • Work closely with departments such as Operations, Sales, Data Analytics, and Finance to align operational goals with business objectives.
  • Lead and manage key business projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and goals are met.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret business data to generate actionable insights.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and ensure smooth implementation of new processes, systems, or tools.

You should have:

  • 2-4 years of experience in project management, operations, or a related field, ideally within technical, supply chain, or business environments
  • Experience working on cross-functional projects and collaborating with different teams (e.g., engineering, operations, or product)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work with diverse teams
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity; willing to take ownership and get things done
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the posting's respective region. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training.
The US base salary range for this position (exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits):
$65,640$80,000 USD
