We're looking for an exceptional Head of Engineering to join our team and build the technical foundation that will process billions of documents. The job is simple — create an engineering organization that ships world-class infrastructure at startup speed.

Role & Impact

We're processing millions of documents for mission-critical workflows at companies you use every day. As we scale to billions, we need an engineering leader who can build the team and systems to handle 100x growth without breaking a sweat.

  • Build a world-class engineering team — You'll grow our team, personally closing our most critical hires and building a recruiting machine that consistently lands top 1% talent

  • Ship at startup speed with enterprise reliability — Implement engineering processes that maximize velocity while maintaining 99.99% uptime for customers who depend on us for revenue-critical operations

  • Create metrics that matter — Build dashboards and systems that give us real-time visibility into engineering velocity, system health, and team performance

  • Be the engineering culture architect — Define how we work, how we make decisions, and how we grow careers. Build an environment where the best engineers do their best work

  • Shape our technical strategy — Partner with our CTO to make architecture decisions that will define our next 5 years, from infrastructure choices to API design to our approach to LLMs

Ideal Candidate Credentials

  • You've scaled engineering teams (10 → 50+ engineers) at a technical product company

  • You have deep technical chops, and can debate architecture decisions, review code, and understand complex distributed systems

  • You've shipped products at scale and understand the difference between startup scrappiness & the reliability required for enterprise customers

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and can create clarity for your team when the path forward isn't obvious

  • You have a founder mentality (and ideally have been one before) — no task is beneath you, and you'll do whatever it takes to win
