About Edia

Our mission is for every child to have an exceptional experience in school.

Edia is a Series A technology startup revolutionizing K-12 education with AI-driven solutions. We develop software to improve math education, tackle chronic absenteeism, and improve intervention processes for school districts. Today, Edia supports 200+ districts across the country (e.g. New York City, Denver, Fulton County, San Francisco, etc.).

The Problem We Need You to Solve

Edia serves 200+ school districts—including New York City, Denver, Fulton County, and San Francisco—with AI-powered solutions for chronic absenteeism, math coaching, and MTSS workflows. We’re in the middle of launching our District Intelligence Platform (DIP), which unifies data from SIS, LMS, attendance, and behavior systems into a single system of action for student success.

Every new district means a complex, high-stakes integration. We’re connecting to PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Synergy, and a long tail of legacy SIS platforms. We’re configuring Clever and ClassLink rostering, standing up SFTP data feeds, importing benchmark and end-of-course exam scores, and aligning to district-specific data models—all on a school-year timeline that doesn’t slip. A missed go-live date means a semester of lost student outcomes.

We need someone who can own that end-to-end: from contract signature to successful launch, across every technical and organizational dependency in between.

The Role

You’ll be our first dedicated Technical Implementation Manager—a foundational hire on the Customer Solutions & Implementations team, reporting to our VP of Customer Success. You’ll serve as the quarterback across CS, Product Engineering, and district stakeholders, balancing technical execution with strong project management and change-management instincts.

This is not a single-product onboarding role. You’re implementing a multi-product platform with multiple integration points, in districts with complex IT environments, competing priorities, and tight timelines. You’ll be technical enough to partner deeply with our engineers on data architecture, and strategic enough to navigate district politics and procurement realities.

What You’ll Do

Own Customer Implementations

  • Lead end-to-end implementation projects from contract signature through successful go-live, managing project plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies across all workstreams.

  • Ensure implementations are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to customer success criteria—with clear accountability for school-year launch deadlines.

Technical & Integration Leadership

  • Partner with Product Engineers on SIS data integrations (PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Synergy, etc.), Clever/ClassLink rostering, SFTP feeds, SSO configuration, and platform setup.

  • Translate district technical environments and constraints into clear implementation plans. Serve as the technical point of coordination between Edia and district IT teams.

  • Hands-on coding is not required, but you should be deeply comfortable discussing data models, APIs, and system architectures with engineers.

Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Receive structured handoffs from Sales (SOW, technical requirements, district champion introduction) and manage a clean transition to the CSM at go-live (adoption metrics, training completion, configuration documentation).

  • Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Support, and CS to remove blockers and drive progress. Own the internal status cadence for active implementations.

Business & Change Management

  • Understand district goals, procurement timelines, and operational realities to tailor implementation approaches. Guide customers through rollout best practices and early adoption.

  • Proactively identify risks to adoption or value realization and drive mitigation plans before they become blockers.

Scale the Function

  • We’re scaling from a handful of concurrent implementations to 3–4x that volume in 2026. You’ll design the playbooks, tooling, templates, and success metrics to make that possible.

  • Provide input into when deeper technical engagement (e.g., Forward Deployed Engineer support) is required. Help define the long-term shape of the implementation team as we grow.

Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years in implementation management, technical consulting, solutions delivery, or engagement management within a SaaS or technology environment.

  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder implementations (enterprise or public sector a plus).

  • Strong technical fluency—comfortable discussing data integrations, system architectures, APIs, and data mapping. Hands-on coding not required.

  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex workstreams on deadline.

  • Exceptional communication—able to align technical and non-technical audiences, from district IT directors to superintendents.

  • Strong business judgment and customer empathy.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in K–12, EdTech, or public-sector implementations—especially with SIS platforms (PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Synergy) or rostering tools (Clever, ClassLink).

  • Consulting background (Engagement Manager, Technical PM, or similar).

  • Experience helping define or scale a new implementation function from the ground up.

  • Exposure to Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) or embedded technical services models.
