Job Title: Manager of Analytics
Hiring Manager: Head of Strategy & Analytics
Description:
We're looking for a Manager of Analytics to lead a small team of analysts while staying deeply hands-on with our most complex and high-impact work. This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, strategic thinking, and rigorous analysis. You'll mentor and develop your direct reports while continuing to own key workstreams yourself.
You'll be a critical voice in how our Analytics function grows, helping set standards, build systems, and translate data into decisions at the highest levels of the company. This is the right role for someone who loves the craft of analytics and is ready to multiply their impact through others.
Responsibilities:
-
Team Leadership & Development
Manage, mentor, and grow 1-2 analysts, providing guidance on technical skills, project prioritization, and career development
Set a high bar for analytical quality and help the team meet it through code reviews, feedback, and pairing
Foster a culture of curiosity, rigor, and collaboration on the Analytics team
-
Hands-On Analytics
Personally own complex, high-stakes analyses across product, operations, and strategy
Design and evaluate experiments, build and maintain critical dashboards, and define team-wide KPIs
Serve as a go-to analytical resource for senior stakeholders and executive leadership
-
Strategic Contribution
Partner with the Head of Strategy & Analytics to shape the analytics roadmap and prioritize the team's work
Proactively identify opportunities where data can drive better decisions or unlock new strategies
Represent the Analytics team in cross-functional planning discussions
-
Process & Standards
Define and champion best practices for how the team works: documentation, data modeling, QA, and tooling
Identify opportunities to scale analytics through automation, self-serve tooling, or workflow improvements
Act as a liaison between Analytics and other business units, ensuring data needs are well understood and prioritized
Qualifications:
-
Experience:
5+ years in a data analytics role, with at least 1 year of formal or informal people leadership (mentorship, tech lead, or direct management)
Track record of delivering high-impact analytical work independently while helping others do the same
Background in product, strategy, or growth analytics preferred; fintech or high-growth startup experience is a plus
-
Technical Skills:
Strong SQL; comfort building and maintaining data models, dashboards, and analytical frameworks
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques; eagerness to raise the technical bar for the team
-
Leadership & Communication:
Experience coaching analysts of varying skill levels and giving constructive, actionable feedback
Able to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical peers and executive stakeholders
Strong project management instincts - knows how to prioritize across competing demands for themselves and their team
