Role Overview

We’re looking for a smart, driven professional to help build scalable accounting processes within our lean finance team. This is a unique role that will have visibility and impact on every area within the accounting function. This role will be the third internal accounting hire to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Accounting

    • Own several month-end close areas, building out efficient and effective processes and procedures around transaction recording and reconciliation.

    • Develop and maintain operating procedures for treasury, cash management, and operational accounting workflows.

    • Manage accounts payable and corporate credit card systems and processes.

    • Coordinate and provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.

    • Be the owner on tax and tax-related work streams (working with third party tax consultants).

  • Treasury Management

    • Oversee daily cash operations, including bank reconciliation and cash positioning.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and automate treasury and accounting workflows.

    • Initiate and approve cash transactions.

    • Work with Capital Markets to implement strategies to optimize working capital and liquidity.

  • Financial Reporting and Controls

    • Assist with our GAAP financial statements and disclosures.

    • Build out effective financial reporting processes within NetSuite and externally.

    • Build and manage technical accounting analyses, memos, and workbooks.

    • Financial reporting for state compliance.

    • Assist in building an effective control environment around our accounting and treasury processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degrees in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA a plus.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced excel skills. SQL experience is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
