Your role
We are currently seeking a hands-on and results-driven Senior Account Executive to join our team to lead go-to-market efforts of the Ascend product into the MGA & Wholesale brokerage vertical. You will be a one-person marching band, taking a solution with demonstrated product-market fit and operationalizing and successfully scaling the go to market motion in a new vertical.
This role is business critical to Ascend’s continued success and reports directly to the cofounder/Co-CEO. You will need to both carry a quota to hit pre-defined performance expecations as well as create, own and execute a sales process that ensures consistent and repeatable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire new customers to hit monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets and related KPI goals.
- Own the entire sales process (prospecting, qualification, solution mapping) for the MGA/Wholesale vertical.
- Work closely with other go to market teams (marketing, revenue operations, customer success) to ensure an effective and efficient go to market motion for MGA/Wholesale.
- Work closely with the product and engineering team to improve the product based on customer learnings and need.
- Develop playbook for future vertical expansions based on learnings and best practices.
You might be a good fit if you are / have
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated sales success selling software products into new verticals and building systems and processes for repeated success. You must have experience in B2B SaaS sales and have carried + hit sales quotas in previous roles.
- Outcome-Oriented: You have proven success ascting as a functon owner including a track record of consistently delivering measurable results.
- Velocity-Minded: You value speed with direction and remove obstacles to ensure you are able to accomplish your objectives.
- Customer Focused: You care deeply about your customers and their problems and want to to deeply understand, relate to, and connect with our customer base. Insurance is a main-street America business where relationships matter.
- Financial Services Background: Familiarity with financial services, especially in the context of insurance, is helpful.
