Ansa Engineering Interview Process

๐Ÿ’ก
Welcome! ๐ŸŒŠ Thank you for taking the time to interview with Ansa. Weโ€™re excited to learn more about you as you also discover more about what itโ€™s like to work at Ansa! This guide is designed to help you understand our engineering interview process and prepare accordingly. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to meeting you! โ˜บ๏ธ

Overall Interview Process

ALT

1. Cofounder Chat

During this chat, you will have the opportunity to speak with JT (CTO, technical cofounder) and learn more about Ansa, as well as evaluate whether there is a mutual fit. JT will provide an overview of our company, product, engineering, and culture.
We recommend that you come prepared to discuss your relevant experience and skills. This will help determine if the open position aligns well with your interests and expertise.

2. Technical Interview I

In this round, you will participate in a technical exercise with one or two of our engineers for approximately an hour. We'll use CoderPad to collaborate in your preferred programming language.
You'll implement a solution while discussing the trade-offs and details of its implementation. In addition, we'll take some time to get to know you better and address any questions you may have.
We recommend reviewing fundamental algorithms, data structures, and basic system design topics. We don't suggest spending too much time on LeetCode questions or memorizing how to invert a binary tree. ๐Ÿ˜‚

3. Technical Interview II

In this round, you will also work on a technical exercise with one or two of our engineers for an hour. We will collaborate using CoderPad.
For backend-leaning candidates, we will conduct a coding exercise in your preferred programming language. We will then discuss how your solution could be implemented in a production system. We recommend revisiting algorithmic problem-solving and system design concepts in preparation.
For frontend-leaning candidates, you will complete an exercise to construct a web component. This exercise involves building a feature iteratively and discussing your approach technically. We recommend refreshing your knowledge of implementing React components and TypeScript.

4. Onsite Interview

Our on-site interview process includes several rounds of technical interviews and opportunities to learn more about the team and the product.
During the technical interviews, you will be coding and designing technical systems with our engineering team. We suggest brushing up on system design topics and computer science fundamentals.
In addition to the technical interviews, you'll also have the chance to chat with team members during coffee breaks and the product demo. Please come ready with questions to ask!
