About The Role

We're seeking a Staff Engineer - Frontend to drive technical excellence across our web applications and establish frontend architecture standards as we scale. You'll lead the technical direction of our frontend systems, mentor other engineers, and help build beautiful, performant interfaces that make global talent matching feel effortless

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership

  • Drive frontend architecture decisions and technical strategy across our platform

  • Establish and evolve our frontend development standards, patterns, and best practices

  • Lead initiatives to improve performance, accessibility, and user experience

  • Mentor frontend engineers and elevate frontend engineering practices

  • Collaborate with design and product teams to create scalable, reusable component systems

System Design & Implementation

  • Architect frontend systems to handle complex marketplace workflows and real-time updates

  • Design and implement shared component libraries and design systems

  • Create sophisticated data visualization and interactive features for talent matching

  • Build robust, maintainable frontend infrastructure that scales across multiple applications

  • Lead performance optimization initiatives across our web applications

Cross-functional Impact

  • Partner with UX/UI designers to implement and scale design systems

  • Work with backend teams to design and evolve API contracts.

  • Collaborate with product managers to balance technical debt with feature delivery

  • Guide technical decisions across multiple frontend teams.

  • Drive improvements in frontend testing, monitoring, and observability

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of professional frontend engineering experience

  • 7+ years of technical leadership experience driving complex projects

  • Deep expertise in modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)

  • Strong background in frontend architecture and design systems.

  • Experience building and scaling large-scale web applications

  • Track record of making significant technical decisions that impacted product direction

  • Excellence in frontend performance optimization and debugging.

  • Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices

  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple major frontend frameworks

  • Background in marketplace or SaaS platforms

  • Expertise in state management (Redux, Vuex, NgRx)

  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures

  • Familiarity with WebSocket implementations

  • Track record of contributing to open source or technical content.

  • Experience working with distributed, remote teams

Compensation

The total compensation range for this role includes:

  • Base salary: Ranging from $175,000 to $215,000 per year, plus equity

  • The final package will be tailored to the candidate's experience, location, and specific expertise.
