After Thought is pioneering a new paradigm within AI. We're building on the progress of the last decade of deep learning by taking advantage of overlooked ideas and techniques within other areas of AI (e.g., computational cognitive science). We believe that the greatest transformative potential of AI lies within real-world applications for critical industries (e.g., healthcare, robotics, manufacturing, finance, engineering design, etc.) — unlocking that potential will require new ideas. Our mission is to originate and execute on those new ideas in order to accelerate and amplify the near-term impact of AI. Our team members have conducted AI research at some of the top institutions in the world.
