Technical Product Operations Manager - Data Platform
Overview
This is a cross-functional role that bridges product management, operations, and solution engineering. You’ll own how the Data Platform team runs, evolves, and scales - from the workflows that move through internal tooling to the platform that transforms raw healthcare data into Accorded’s solutions.
You’ll treat the Data Platform like a product: driving automation, feature expansion, and scalability while partnering closely with Accorded Leadership, Engineering, Customer Solutions, and our customers. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving puzzles, working hands-on with data and customers, and finding smarter, more automated ways to do things - while having room to grow as the platform (and company) scales.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Frameworks
- Own and evolve the team’s operating framework - Jira workflows, prioritization, capacity planning, QA checkpoints, and release processes.
- Take extreme ownership of integrations and customer data runs, ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery while maintaining visibility into capacity, blockers, and priorities across Product, Engineering, and Customer Solutions.
- Continuously look for ways to simplify how the team plans, builds, and releases work.
- Partner closely with Customer Solutions during onboarding and implementation to schedule work, validate data fit, troubleshoot data issues, and ensure smooth delivery.
Data Platform Product Ownership
- You will be the product manager for our data platform - from inbound data automation through the Core Data Model (CDM).
- Expand and standardize inbound data capabilities: increase the range of supported formats and build reusable ingestion patterns.
- Enhance the CDM to support new Acumen and tech-enabled services use cases.
- Build and maintain a roadmap and backlog for data platform evolution - prioritizing automation, scalability, and interoperability.
Data Solution Engineering & Customer Enablement
- Be the voice of the data in Acumen: ensure customer data fits effectively into the Accorded platform while maintaining product scalability and standards.
- Work directly with customers to understand their data sources, structures, and business context - guiding how to align them with the CDM and Acumen outputs and translate that into internal requirements and guidance.
- Enable our customers to achieve maximum value from the platform in a scalable way.
Automation & Continuous Refinement
- Be the champion of automation - building a living backlog of process and tooling improvements across ingestion, validation, and delivery workflows.
- Identify opportunities to inject AI into our manual workflows to reduce manual touchpoints, catch errors early, and improve reliability across workflows.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in product management, technical program/operations management, or data solutions engineering.
- Strong technical fluency in data systems (SQL, data pipelines, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow).
- Experience with healthcare data (claims, enrollment, encounters, clinical data).
- Proven track record of driving automation and process optimization in data-heavy environments.
- Excellent communication and systems-thinking skills.
What Success Looks Like
- The Data Platform runs predictably, with visibility and minimal manual intervention.
- Inbound data ingestion and transformation are increasingly automated and standardized.
- The CDM evolves to support new use cases and internal customers in a highly scalable way.
- Customer onboarding and runs happen through repeatable, automated and scalable workflows.
- Collaboration across teams feels seamless, transparent, and efficient.
